The 71st Annual Cambria County Regional Firefighters Association Fire Academy Weekends, taking place in April 2025, promises to be an enriching and dynamic learning experience for emergency responders of all levels. With a robust schedule of training courses designed to enhance critical skills, this year’s Academy will feature specialized sessions such as Driver Operator – Pumper (NFPA 1002), Vehicle Technical Rescuer (NFPA 1006), Arson Detection for the First Responder (ADFR), Fire Prevention for Special Needs Individuals, Fire Photography 101, and much more. Whether you are seeking to improve your technical rescue capabilities, advance your fire prevention knowledge, or refresh your fire police training, there’s something for every responder.
Courses will be held on three weekends in April: Friday, April 4th through Sunday, April 6th; Friday, April 11th through Sunday, April 13th; and Saturday, April 26th through Sunday, April 27th, 2025, all at Cambria Heights High School in Patton, PA. Classes will begin at 6 PM on Friday evenings and at 8 AM on Saturdays and Sundays. Pre-Enrollment & Fees
- Applicants must be 14 years of age or older and must present their working papers to the Fire School Committee before they can take any program. In addition, they must have approval from their Chief Officer. Participants are limited in number in each class. Instructors for each class are subject to change based on their availability.
- ALL PRE-ENROLLMENT MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY CHECK OR MONEY ORDER made payable to the Cambria County Firemen’s Association to guarantee placement in selected courses. Please check course descriptions for the price of the classes. Any changes made by a student after the deadline to switch classes will require an additional $20.00 fee.

- Bucks County Community College is your educational provider and does not charge fees for these programs. All fees collected are used by the local fire school committee for facility use and lunches. Certification testing is subject to additional fees.
- All out-of-state students are subject to an additional $300.00 fee and must submit a separate check or money order for $300.00 made payable to Bucks County Public Safety Training Center. - THERE WILL BE A LATE FEE OF $10.00 after the deadline. ALL REGISTRATIONS ARE ONLINE ONLY. Some classes may not be held at the Cambria Heights High School or the Fire School site. Due to certain facilities needed for the practical or hands-on part of the class, students may have to travel to other locations in the county. Check course descriptions. Classes not held at Cambria Heights High School will be noted in the course description.
FAILURE TO SHOW REGISTERED CLASSES WILL NOT BE REIMBURSED.
