Our Mission

The objective of this association shall be the general improvement of the firefighting service throughout the county and vicinity; to afford protection to disabled firefighters and to those dependent upon them, through legislative enactment, to open discussion upon the best manner and means for the fighting of fires and their prevention; to promote the organization of fire departments in towns and villages now without such protection; to encourage a fraternal friendship among firefighters; and to promote education and training of firefighters.

 CCRFA AWARD GUIDELINES AT A GLANCE — For Full information please visit : https://ccrfa.org/convention/awards/

Valor Award- This award is given to a person who has went above and beyond to save a life while putting themselves at great personal risk. This award is presented at the convention meeting.

 

Life Saving Award- This award is given to a person who has taken action to save a life. This award is presented at the convention meeting.

 

Unit Citation Award- This award was started in 2022 to recognize a fire company unit which performs an outstanding act at an emergency scene by a team of two or more members responding as a company.

 

Junior Firefighter Award – This award established in 2024 is to recognize an outstanding Junior Firefighter that is a member of a fire company belonging to the Cambria County Regional Firefighter’s Association.

 

Please include any newspaper or other articles that maybe helpful in the proof of this incident.

All entrees must be submitted by the last regular meeting before the annual convention meeting of that year.
