Description: This course provides the student with the basic knowledge to accurately evaluate air quality during emergency incidents. This course will cover the facts and myths associated with air monitoring procedures. Subjects to be covered include identification of the various IDLH atmospheres, procedures for the selection and operation of air monitoring equipment, equipment decontamination procedures, data interpretation and management, and integrated monitoring exercises. Certification for this class will be available the same evening.
